As a few sisters took advantage of free time granted during the weeks of summer vacation they took the task of cleaning out the good ‘ole sorority storage unit. As things have been stored throughout the years and pushed further and further into every possible nook and cranny, many treasures still remained. After going through numerous boxes and oo-ing and ah-ing over this award from 2007 or that picture from 1994, but one thing rang true to our hearts.
This gem, the Theta Iota Chapter installation letter, was recovered and left us nearly in tears. It is amazing to believe that 23 years ago this amazing sorority opened its arms and joined the FAU campus. This letter serves as a beautiful reminder of how our strong sisterhood has endured the ebbs and flows of the sorority life experience.
Let us remember those who have come before us in this chapter and their hard work and dedication, thanking them for where we stand now. The bonds of sisterhood last forever and this simple, yet amazing, letter reminds us of that for August 24, 1991 will forever be a cherished day for the past, present, and future members of the Theta Iota chapter of Alpha Xi Delta.
